A state-of-the-art eye diagnostic centre with an ultramodern theatre opens in Nairobi, bringing advanced vision care to Kenya.
THE FOUNDATION IS BORN
In partnership with the World Diabetes Foundation, an eye-care foundation launches to provide early intervention to patients at risk of diabetic blindness.
CITY EYE HOSPITAL ESTABLISHED
Founded on Ngong Road to meet the growing need for affordable, quality eye care - anchoring the Foundation's outreach work.
TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION
A rotational training department begins equipping ophthalmic nursing students, later expanding to ophthalmology residents.
A REGEIONAL MOVEMENT
Three ultramodern facilities and a vision centre, staffed by 90+ professionals, continue the mission to end preventable blindness.
